wEven Light Distribution & Balanced Coloration

Once installed, the XR30 Diffuser delivers a more balanced light spread across your aquarium. Although peak PAR may decrease slightly, the light is distributed more evenly, especially to lower light zones, improving overall light diffusion. The light loss is about 20%, but since most hobbyists use only a fraction of available power, this can be easily compensated by increasing the LED intensity.

Enhanced Spectrum Blending

Diffusing the light helps merge the spectrum from individual LEDs into a uniform light source, which is essential for creating a cohesive, natural-looking environment. Traditional LED optics can create separate light spots, but with the XR30 Diffuser, the spread is smoother, and the colors blend better, providing more benefits for coral health and growth.

Reduced Shimmer Effect

One of the common issues with LED lights is shimmer, or the “disco-ball” effect. The XR30 Diffuser helps reduce this shimmer, moving closer to the natural sunlight or metal halide shimmer that many aquarists desire. While it’s not perfect, it offers one of the most natural shimmer effects among LED systems.

The new design of the G5/G6 diffuser integrates magnets for a tool-free installation. This sleek, seamless form factor ensures easy mounting and removal, and the magnetic attachment also makes the diffuser lens simple to clean.

Compatibility Note

Please be aware that the G5/G6 Diffuser is only compatible with the Radion G5 and G6 XR30 models. It will not work with previous Radion generations due to the required adapter plate.
