Better Light Distribution:

The XR15 Diffuser significantly improves light balance in your tank. Though there’s a slight decrease in peak PAR numbers, the light is distributed evenly across your aquarium, leading to better diffusion in lower light zones. With only a 20% light loss, and most hobbyists not using the full 80% of light output, this reduction can easily be compensated by increasing the overall power to the LEDs.

Seamless Spectrum Blending:

By diffusing light from the LEDs, the XR15 Diffuser promotes a much smoother and cohesive light spectrum. In traditional aquarium lighting, optics tend to create “spotlights” by focusing the light, which can cause harsh separation of colors. The XR15 Diffuser softens this effect, allowing for more even, blended light that supports coral growth and creates a more natural aesthetic for your reef tank.

Reduced Shimmer Effect:

LED lights are known for creating a shimmer effect or the dreaded “disco-ball” look. The XR15 Diffuser helps reduce this, giving your setup a shimmer that more closely resembles natural sunlight or the softer light of metal halide fixtures.

• While it doesn’t fully eliminate shimmer, it gets much closer than many other LED lights, offering a more natural look for your aquarium.

Easy Installation with Magnetic Attachment:

The latest G5/G6 diffuser design uses integrated magnets that make installation quick and tool-free. This design makes it incredibly easy to attach the diffuser to your Radion XR15 light and remove it for cleaning, all without fuss.

Please note that this XR15 Diffuser is only compatible with the G5 and G6 Radion models and will not work with earlier Radion generations due to the required adapter plate.
